  • Grab a cup of joe in Knoxville!

    The Golden Roast, 825 Melrose Place, is right across from UT’s Massey Hall and convenient to the library. Coffee is hand roasted for the richest flavor and a large Coffee of the Day is only $2.75. Open from 7 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday and at 8 a.m. on the weekend.

  • Coffee & Chocolate, 327 Union Ave., is just east of campus and has a sophisticated vibe, Fair Trade coffees and handmade chocolates and baked goods to go with it. Opens at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. on the weekend. Stays open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 10 p.m. the rest of the week.
  • Pete’s Coffee Shop, 540 Union Ave., is near the University of Tennessee Press at the east end of campus and is a traditional diner specializing in no-nonsense coffee with a side of breakfast or lunch. Open 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
